Hardly Human

The silence seeps,

Into her eyes.

Blocking the tears.

Stifling the cries.

Of anguish, of guilt,

Of hollowing hurt.

Chafing her person,

Reducing any worth,

Which remained

Of that shell.

Secrets.

Don't ask. Can't tell.

Cruel words lend

Too weak blows,

Compared to the contempt,

Blank faces show.
